A private university, it has seven faculties, Engineering, Sciences and Humanities, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Communication, Law and Fine Arts, as well as its several vocational schools, and is dedicated to becoming a leader in educational and cultural fields in Turkey, as well as establishing itself as an international center for research and scientific development. Who is eligible to apply to these programs?

Semester Abroad Program:

  • Qualified IIHEM students who have successfully completed at least three semesters of academic study and are enrolled either in the third or fourth year at IIHEM.

"Students applying to these programs must have a minimal GPA of 3.0"

What degrees do these programs lead to?

Semester Abroad Program:

  • This program is not a degree program. Courses taken at Kadir Has will be transferred to equivalent courses at IIHEM.
Are these programs accredited?

Yes.IIHEM diplomas are accredited and "Recognized Equivalent" by the Moroccan Ministry. Kadir Has degrees are accredited by YÖK - YüksekögretimKurulu (YÖK –Turkish Council of Higher Education).

How is the program delivered?

Semester Abroad Program:

  • Students must have completed three academic semesters at IIHEM. Students in their third or fourth year can be enrolled in this non-degree program.
Can I do more of my program at Kadir Has University?

Yes, within the general framework. You can do this through a transfer. You will however pay Kadir Has tuition whenever you are on the Kadir Has University campus

  • the Fall Semester starts in September (IIHEM and Kadir Has).

What is the course load per semester for full-time students?

Semester Abroad Program:

  • Five courses per semester.
What are class hours?

Undergraduate classes at IIHEM are taught during the day. All classes at Kadir Has are taught in the daytime.

When can I enroll?

Enrollment in the program takes place in July and January.

What are the admissions requirements for the program?

Semester Abroad Program:

  • complete 1.5 academic years at IIHEM with a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have a TOEFL score of 550.
What documents need to be included in my application?

  • An official letter issued by IIHEM concerning the student's status, Submission of application form. Application form is available online at https://sparks.khas.edu.tr/application.
  • Proof of English proficiency (TOEFL),
  • Transcript or certificate of education for the last academic year,
  • One letter of recommendation,
  • Copy of official identity card and passport pages that show identity information,
  • 1 passport size photo.
How much do these programs cost?

Semester Abroad Program:

  • Students will pay IIHEM tuition to IIHEM for this program.
  • Travel, insurance and living expenses at Kadir Has are the responsibility of each student.

Living expenses (housing, utilities, meals, incidentals, etc.) are between $400 and $500 per month.

Who is responsible for getting the visa to Turkey?

You are.

Kadir Has will provide admitted students with an acceptance letter, but it is the responsibility of each student to get the visa appointment and to obtain the visa from the embassy. Neither Kadir Hasnor IIHEM will be held responsible for a visa refusal by the Turkish consulate.

I am interested! How should I start the process?

  • Student submits an application to the IIHEM Director of International Programs (DoIP),
  • Meet with the DoIP to discuss and receive approval of your program of study at Kadir Has,
  • DoIP should nominate the student for acceptance to the Kadir Has,
  • The candidates will submit application documents,
  • Verification of documents by Kadir Has Admissions Department,
  • Issuance of an acceptance letter,
  • You should apply directly and in person at your local Turkish Embassy or Consulate,
  • During this process, you will be asked to show a proof of financial ability to cover the related educational expenses,
  • You can consult to the nearest Embassy/Consulate of the Republic of Turkey for the list of all required documents,
  • Please allow up to 6-8 weeks for visa processing,
  • Temporary health insurance,
  • Upon arrival to students are kindly asked to show all original certificates that were provided for the admissions process,
  • The candidates should arrive in Turkey before the semester orientation begins.
