What is GBSB University?

What programs are included in the GBSB University/IIHEM Joint Academic Programs?

Who is eligible to apply to these programs?

Semester Abroad Program:

  • Qualified IIHEM students who have successfully completed at least three semesters of academic study and are enrolled either in the third or fourth year at IIHEM.

Bachelor's Transfer Program:

  • Qualified IIHEM students enrolled in BAC+3 who have successfully completed at least four semesters of academic study.

Yes.IIHEM diplomas are accredited by the Moroccan Ministry of Higher Education,

How is the program delivered?

Semester Abroad Program:

  • Students must have completed three academic semesters at IIHEM. Students in their second, third or fourth year can be enrolled in this non-degree program.

Bachelor's Transfer Program:

  • The first two years of the academic undergraduate program are delivered on the IIHEM campus by IIHEM professors and the remaining one year of the undergraduate program is delivered by GBSB Global professors in Spain.

Direct Entrance Master Program:

  • A student who has completed three or four years at IIHEM can apply to complete in one year the Master's program at GBSB Global.

There is a possibility of an optional internship in all programs.

Will I be able to transfer credits from IIHEM to GBSB Global?

Semester Abroad Program:

  • Students may transfer up to 60 IIHEM credits.
Do I get the same GBSB Global diploma as the one given to graduates from the GBSB Global campus?

Yes.

Once I complete my degree, can I take part in the graduation ceremony at GBSB Global?

Yes.

Can I do more of my program at GBSB Global?

Yes, within the general framework. You can do this through a transfer. You will however pay GBSB Global tuition whenever you are on the GBSB Global campus.

How long are the GBSB Global Master's programs?

1 year of study.

When do the semesters start?
  • The Fall Semester starts in October (GBSB GLOBAL).

How many credits are in each program?

Semester Abroad Program:

  • At least 15 credits (five courses) are to be taken per semester.

  • A total of 90 credits, 60 of which are taken at IIHEM and 30 at GBSB GLOBAL.

  • A total of 30 credits are to be taken at GBSB GLOBAL.
What is required to graduate?

Bachelor's Transfer Program

  • 90 credits are required to complete the Bachelor's Program. 60 credits are taken at IIHEM and 30 credits at GBSB GLOBAL. The students should write and defend a Bachelor's Dissertation.

Direct Entrance Master's Program:

  • 30 credits at GBSB GLOBAL.
What is the course load per semester for full-time students?

The standard workload is 20 hours of study per week.

What are class hours?

Undergraduate and fourth year classes at IIHEM are taught during the day. All classes at GBSB GLOBAL are taught either during the day or evening.

Can I work and attend the program part time?

No, you cannot do the program part time as a student's visa requires weekly attendance and full time studies.

However, according to Spanish regulations all foreigner students can do a paid internship while studying or work up to four hours per day. Additionally, a recent law, which came into force in September 2018, allows all foreigner graduates from Spanish universities to obtain a work permit after graduation providing they find a suitable job.

When can I enroll?

Enrollment in the program takes place in January , April and October.

What are the admissions requirements for the program?

Semester Abroad Program:

  • complete 1.5 academic years at IIHEM with a minimum GPA of 3.0.

Bachelor's Transfer (TOP Up) Program:

  • be enrolled in an IIHEM BAC+3 diploma program,
  • successfully complete two years at IIHEM with a minimum GPA of 3.0,
  • have an IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL score of 550.

Direct Entrance Master's Program:

  • be enrolled in an IIHEM BAC+3 or BAC+5 diploma program,
  • successfully complete three or four years at IIHEM with a minimum GPA of 3.0,
  • have an IELTS score of 6.0 or a TOEFL score of 550.
What documents need to be included in my application?

  • The application form completed in detail, with examination records certified by school authorities, attested photocopies of all additional educational qualifications already obtained and English or Spanish language translations of qualifications not issued in English or Spanish.
  • An official letter issued by IIHEM concerning the student's status,
  • An Admissions Officer will get in touch with you and answer any questions you still have.
  • The Admissions Office will review your application and will be in touch with you if more information is needed or some additional documents are required. Please, regularly check your email that you provide in your application form.
  • Await the decision: After you complete your application, it will take the Admissions Office about one week to review your application. The Admissions Office will contact you to give you the results of your application to GBSB Global. If you don't receive a notice within 10 days, please contact your Admissions Officer.
  • TIf your application is successful, you will receive an email with your official acceptance letter and Tuition Payment Plan. At this point, you are accepted into the program, but not admitted. In order to enroll and confirm your place in the program, follow the instructions in the Tuition Payment Plan. You must pay a deposit in order to enroll. The deposit is non-refundable. Depending on how early you applied, you may be entitled to an early enrollment discount.
  • After you have paid your tuition deposit, please send the receipt to your Admissions Officer. Make sure you include your full name when making the transfer.
  • When your deposit is received, you will receive an email confirmation of your enrollment. This email will include all of the next steps to help you transition to Spain. At this point, you are officially a GBSB Global Business School student and you are welcome to visit the campus at any time to use the facilities.
  • You will need to apply for a student visa with the Spanish Embassy or Consulate closest to you. Please respond to your confirmation email with your mailing address; GBSB Global will send you specific documents that you will need for your visa application process via express delivery.
How much do these programs cost?

Semester Abroad Program:

  • Students have to pay IIHEM (home tuition) for all courses taken at GBSB GLOBAL.
  • Travel, insurance and living expenses at GBSB GLOBAL are the responsibility of each student.

Who is responsible for getting the visa to Spain?

You are.

GBSB GLOBAL will provide admitted students with an admission letter and visa documents, but it is the responsibility of each student to get the visa appointment and to obtain the visa from the embassy. Neither GBSB GLOBAL nor IIHEM will be held responsible for a visa refusal by the Spain consulate.

  • Student submits an application to the IIHEM Director of International Programs (DoIP),
  • Once the application is deemed receivable by IIHEM, student meets with the DoIP to discuss and receive approval of your program of study at GBSB GLOBAL,
  • Student submits application to GBSB GLOBAL with IIHEM endorsement,
  • GBSB GLOBAL arranges for an online application interview with a GBSB GLOBAL admissions officer,
  • GBSB GLOBAL informs IIHEM and the student of the admissions decision,
  • On acceptance fee, acceptance letter will be sent and GBSB GLOBAL prepares the visa documents for candidates,
  • GBSB GLOBAL posts the visa documents and paper admission notice to candidates,
  • Candidates go to local Spain embassy to apply for a long term study visa,
  • Candidates receive the visa and plan their trip!
